This gal is just as quaint and as folky as could be.

Dressed in her original blue calico dress and underclothes, she measures 22 inches tall and is 4 inches across the shoulders. Her body is fashioned out of homespun linen stuffed with cotton batting and is entirely hand sewn.  Her whitish/gray hair is human and dressed in pigtails.

She has got penciled eyes, nose and mouth and , she has a small tear  next to her left eye which reveals another layer of homespun underneath so there is a strong possibility that there may be an even earlier face underneath. She’s got primitively stitched fingers as well.

Her head has got a slight lilt to it which makes her all the more endearing as I imagine her being a very tired lady after putting in a hard day’s work on the prairie: you know tending the chickens and the garden, working the land, doing the household chores, tending the children, fixing dinner, mending clothing...a hard life. Her only dress is worn from the life she’s led. This girl needs a rest!

Do let her come and lounge with your precious girls for a bit!
