19th C Composition Cat Candy Container

19th C Composition Cat Candy Container

Another feline out of my personal collection, this candy container really is special.

Fashioned out of composition, she measures 4 ½ inches long and 2 ½ inches tall.  She still retains her original interior head collar (that keeps it nicely in place on her shoulders) and her original green glass eyes.  Condition is very good with a few minor signs of wear (on her chest and left ear).  The painting and flocking on her is excellent theorem work.

Although not marked on the bottom, I am sure she is German in origin as most of these high quality pieces were.

Candy containers of this type are a rare find today. Most are in private collections, as she was in mine.

I am downsizing my vast cat collection yet again and offering this rare beauty to a good and loving home.
