Late 19th C Clockwork Cat

This whimsical feline has been in my collection for years. …And I have loved her dearly.

Fashioned of papier-mache and covered in faux fur, she sits about 6 inches tall and is 3 inches wide. She still retains her original ribbon, paper label that says “Germany” and one of her two glass eyes.   There are remnants of the original eye in that socket so it’s very hard to tell she is missing that eye at all.  This is how I purchased her and it does not detract from her overall appearance.

Her condition is excellent with one small stain on her bottom hindquarter (see photo) but, again this does not detract from her charm and wit.

The wonderful and whimsical thing about her is that when she is wound, her mouth opens and closes and she wiggles around.  It warms your heart and makes you smile.

She is a dear little thing that will brighten your day and put a grin on your face. I originally purchased her at The Atlantique City Show when it was a fabulous toy and holiday show.

I find that it is now time for her to entertain a new owner.
