Old Amish Cloth Dog

This sweet little cloth dog is just waiting for a new home. He's fashioned out of a wool crepe weave, and still retains his original ebon glass button eyes. His ears are lined with a brown plain weave cotton, and he is firmly stuffed with rags. Measuring 7 inches long by 4 ½ inches tall, he is approximately 3 inches broad at the chest. He has a few pinholes and one ½ inch tear on the inside of his right front leg close to the body. His condition is very good and dates to the late 19th/early 20th C.

Found in Lancaster County, PA , he is a good example of those cherished old cloth animals that are getting harder and harder to find.
