Again, I love quirky collections and, over the years, this collection of crow decoys grew to be one of my favorites.

First, the basket: a positively wonderful large gathering basket in original white paint that measures a whopping 26 inches long by 7 inches high by 15 inches wide. It is divided into two compartments, I imagine for ease of use when harvesting veggies from one’s potager. The white paint has aged to a soft grayish white. It is in very good, strong condition with some wear along the handle.

The Corvids: 11 papier-mache crow decoys, all retaining their original glass eyes but a solitary single-eyed gal. Their bodies are in excellent condition, but some have lost the tips of their noses. Body length is about 18 inches long by 6 inches wide.

This conglomeration of crows resides in this basket for most of the year in our foyer until Christmas when they fly to the branches of and adorn the large, fresh pine on our great room.

I am working on another theme for this year and have decided to let them loose to work their magic in your home.
