This is just a sweet old feline child’s toy.

Measuring 5 inches long and 5 ¼ inches tall, she is composed of a composition and wood frame over which is applied theorem painted flannel. Contained in her belly is a leather and pressed paper bellows, that no longer works. She still retains her original green glass eyes and satin ribbon with brass bell. Her theorem painted stripes are artfully done, and she has a sweet pink painted nose and mouth.

Although she is not marked, she probably was made in Germany in the late 19th C as were most toys such as this (i.e. wooly sheep, etc.)

In spite of her bellows being inoperable (which is usually the case with many of these pieces as they dry out over time), she is in very good condition.

She is out of my private collection and is looking for a new home.
