This sweet kitty has been with me for a while now, and has always been one of my favorites.  I’ve only had two of this particular form and type over the years, and sold the other a few years ago.

While he is of the flannel animal genre, he is smaller – only 6 inches from tip of nose to tail, and has a much more expressive face than lots of the others.  That may be due the fact that his nose is sewn and shaped giving him a most whimsical and charming appearance.

He is fashioned of cream flannel which has been theorem painted gray with black stripes.  Hard stuffed with straw, he still retains his tiny black beaded eyes and floss mouth and nose.  He’s got a few pin-head-sized rust spots (see photos) on his torso that indicates that this wonderful puss was a working pincushion at one time.  Nevertheless, he is in excellent condition with no holes, rips or tears – just those signs attendant with age and use as some lucky lady’s purveyor of pins.

He is whimsical, quirky and an utter charmer.  And would make an excellent addition to any collection!
