This is another stellar piece offered from my collection.  I have loved this one for its most unusual form and size.

Measuring 9 ¼ inches tall (from base), the pincushion itself measures a bit over 6 inches tall with a diameter of 4 ½ inches.  It is fashioned of hand-dyed “coverlet” blue and red wools and firmly stuffed with cotton batting.  The entire piece has been knitted over the stem of an old oil lamp and appears to have been constructed from the bottom up on the base.

It is in excellent condition with 3 or 4 tiny holes where the stuffing show through.  It is as I purchased it years ago.  It has been stored under glass all these years.

Unusual and quite striking, I purchased this piece out of private collection of old Mennonite made make-dos years ago.

This is a piece that catches the eye wherever it is placed!
